When you go on a flight vacation

Minimize packing

When you go on vacation by plane means; minimize packing. You do not want to sit above the permissible baggage weight because you will have to pay too much money for all those extra kilos.
Then there's only one thing to do: make a selection in the things you would like to bring with you.

Close your suitcase

If that selection is made then number two arise; closing your suitcase is still a big challenge. Deam it! Probably nothing will help and you need a bigger suitcase. But now… the moment of roads has come .. and when the suitcase is too heavy, you have to decide…. What to do?!

The customs

Coat off, shoes off, belt off, no jewelry on, laptop out of your hand bagage … PEEP PEEP PEEP… O…you forgot those coins in your pocket. You get the coins out of your pocket and throw it in a separate container that passes through the scanner. Finally! Coat on, shoes on, belt on, jewelry on, laptop back in your hand luggage… you think you will have everything…. But deam where is my expensive watch…?

Waiting Waiting…

You have to pee before you go on the plane because you would rather not using those dirty toilets on the plane. What would be your last pee at the airport?

And then boarding

An hour waiting in the boarding queue, because everybody does it

If you travel by car; what do you have to take with you?

You think you have it easy by just pack your suitcase? Well you are wrong! You not only have to pack your suitcase but also ‘your car’.

Car extras

A reflective vest is not the most fashionable item but is required in most countries. Beyond that you need a lot more! Think about a warning triangle; another item which you hope you do not need it, but you DO need it in your car. When you think you've thought of everything, there still lacks a lot….

Do you know the way?

A paper map is outdated but useful! But I think you will should use your Iphone or Tom Tom to navigate you. This may be a problem; when you are already 200 kilometers away from your home,  you will find out you have forgotten your charger.

Who's driving?

Who's going to start driving and how long are you going to drive? Do you want to drive at night or during the day? The advantage of a road trip is that there is always a possibility to stay in a hotel for a night.

By and large, going on a holiday is not always easy and whether you're going on a flight vacation or a road trip, both have some do's and don'ts to make the most out of your trip.
